This is a selection of merch donned with the original artwork, Inspired by the beloved African folktale Nyakio, this portrait series celebrates African beauty, identity, and self-expression through bold colour and contemporary portraiture. Using vibrant complementary palettes and stylized forms, I highlight features such as full lips, broad noses, expressive eyes, and natural textured hair as symbols of beauty, strength, and cultural pride. Rather than pursuing realism, I use colour as a tool for storytelling and emotion, inviting viewers to see African features through a joyful, empowering lens. This collection honours the richness, individuality, and elegance of African beauty while challenging conventional standards and celebrating the stories that shape our identities.
